Theresa Richardson is a self taught artist. She started creating portraits when she was in her early teens and expanded her repertoire from there. The art she creates varies in a wide array of subject matter, as she paints everything from portraits of people and pets, flora, landscapes, wall murals, and even the occasional abstract piece.  Theresa works mainly in oils and acrylics, but also enjoys working in charcoal and colored pencils. Theresa has been a professional artist for the last 27 years, but being a single mom of three she didn't have an abundance of spare time to devote to her art and mostly did the occasional commission piece. Now that the children are grown and gone she has time to focus on her long dreamed of art career.

She has participated in several juried shows, including Art on the Green and the Taste of the Coeur d' Alene's in Couer d' Alene, Idaho. She was also juried into the Artworks Gallery in Sandpoint, Idaho, where she participated in the gallery workings and displayed her art for many years. In 2015 she participated for the first time in The River Valley Artisan's Studio Tour and this year participated in the River Valley Artisan's premier event The River Valley Artisan's Art and Wine Tour. Bringing together art and wineries on September 10th and 11th, 2016.
